GGG has never been KO'd. Bennie Briscoe hadn't been stopped until he met Rocky. Will history repeat itself?

Valdez was a tough cookie, he went thirty rounds with Monzon. I reckon GGG beats him, but it wouldn't be easy.

    Hi Buddy.
Just for the record, he never suffered any KO loss, the only time he was " KOd " was in 1972 against Juan Escobar and it was due to an injury, in fact he had a very sturdy chin, 32 rounds with Briscoe, 30 with Monzon, that designates a chin of some substance, I personally don't see GGG, turning the trick, sorry, in fact he would have had his hands more than full with tough, tenacious, iron chinned, Colombian.
    stay safe BCS8, chat soon.

50/50 fight. Would love to see it. It would tell us a lot about Golovkin

    No sir...........

    original topic:
I can see Golovkin boxing him to the win, but I can see Valdes bruising him up on the inside to a win, neither person is getting stopped. Heavy leather thrown/neck jarring shots caught this entire fight by both. I will say though that Golovkin's two toughest fights (really 4 because he fought one guy 3 times) were against two guys of similar dimensions, similar durability but less power, activity and stamina than Valdes. And one of those guys really, really took it to him and was hurting him to the body. Valdes is more than a live dog here. Tie my arm behind my back I'd pick Golovkin by a close decision.

The MW division in the 60s-70s was absolutely insane

Golovkin by late TKO (rounds 9–11)
Valdez survives early and shows flashes of brilliance, but Golovkin’s power, chin, and sustained pressure eventually overwhelm him.

Two of my favorite all time MW Champs. Leaning towards Valdez but this is close IMO. Pick would be Valdez in some sort of Decision. Both criminally underrated IMO. Valdez is largely forgotten while G is remembered more for fights when he's past his prime.
