Roys KO'record at MW is quite something, but he didn't knock anyone decent out. He surely had good power at that weight, but not as devastating as he had at SMW and LHW.

I'm saying that Tate was a decent fighter, who got took out in under 6 mins.

I'm a big fan of Golovkin's, but the thread needs to be bumped at a later date.

He's a great fighter, but as yet, I see no evidence where he would have beaten Roy.

What do you think Roy would have done to Macklin and Murray etc?

GGG is relatively easy to hit. He's got great attributes, but he hasn't got a great defence, and he marks up.

Roy would have had no trouble finding him. If GGG could have taken what Roy could have given, then it would have been really interesting. But could he have taken it?

He reminds of Kovalev, in the fact that they're both really strong pressure fighters, but as yet, they haven't been tested. You have to consider that Roy's offense could have backed him up and made him cautious. It's not a given that GGG would have poured forward and pressured Roy. Just because he's been backing up the likes of Murray and Macklin, that doesn't mean he definitely would have employed the same tactics as someone as gifted as Roy.
