Ouma is too tough for his own damn good. Go rewatch the Jermaine Taylor fight and see all the shots that were snapping his friggin head back to like a pez dispenser. On the other hand, Stevens folded like a chair lawn chair first against a journeymen and later against a tomato can in Jesse Brinkley. Stevens will not take that kind of punishment that Ouma did, he will be out of there before that happens.

Also Ouma wasn't shot, he had just arguably beat Vanes Martirosyan one year prior to his fight with GGG.
