    That was early in awards career but he already had the Ward style. Lots of holding, wrestling, elbows on the inside and leading with his head. He added his low blow skills later in his career but he was dirty from the start. Gets dropped by an ordinary shot, runs, jabs and holds his way to a W. Ward was never elite and his biggest victory was against a washed up alcoholic. He needed judges to win the fight fight. Blind ones and needed low blows to win the second.
