Now that Ward is moving up to 175 where he competed in the olympics, can we stop discussing a fight between him and a guy he walks around 25 lbs higher than?

Golovkin will never be a true SMW. He's an average sized MW. Regardless of who said what, Ward-Kovalev is the fight that actually make sense. And now it's happening.

Stop talking about GGG-Ward. Thanks everyone.

Should we talk about Pacquaio-Margarito, or how about Jones-Ruiz instead?

Perfect examples of smaller guys not afraid to test themselves against bigger guys, and not afraid to reach for Greatness.

Yeah! Let's stop talking about this size mismatch and talk about one that is fair to both parties...

    GOLOVKIN - Mayweather!

Ward and Kovalev are exactly same size , same height , same reach . GGG is smaller

You're right, Ward did say that he can beat Wlad, so let's have it then.

I agree. Ward was always gonna be too big. At 168 that fight would've been a missmatch.

    Why still mention this fight?
Unless Golovkin jumps 2 weightclasses directly after unifying the MW belts, this fight looks completely of the shelf.
Ward is going to fight Kova now, and I doubt he can get past him or even stay upright in that bout.

    Case closed

He will fight bigger guys eventually even if it would look a bit unfair. The day he loses to a bigger man, haters will say he was a hype job.

"He's always in second or third and I think it'll take someone bigger and physically stronger to push him backwards; not a fair fight, basically, because I don't think he'll be beaten through ability." Jamie Moore

Not too big . Too good.

Froch is bigger than Ward , in height and in reach.

Are you trying to say GGG is only good enough to beat C level MWs and 5'9 midget welter weights?

It wouldn't be 'case closed' if a Brit behaved the same way. Douche.
