His detractors love to bring up hypothetical matchups 8 or 15 pounds north of what is clearly his ideal weight division. Golovkin walks around at 167 folks, he is a MW at most.

He is currently dominating one of the most populated and historical divisions in all of boxing in unprecedented fashion. Do I think his resume is stacked with great names? No. Is it pure trash? Also no. The clear truth is his peers DO NOT WANT to fight him. BJS, Jacobs, Canelo, Eubank Jr, Cotto of a few years ago. These guys aren't even being crafty in their ducking, half of them have straight up said "I don't want it".

Bringing up Andre Ward is getting stale. I'm a Ward fan, but he should have moved to LHW years ago. He'll enter the ring at 190 against Kovalev, and I have no problem with GGG not chasing him up when he can collect all MW belts.

If GGG weren't around, MW would be awful. We'd have 3-4 "champions" milking their own titles, afraid to face each other.

If they do all they have to do is make a LEGITIMATE challenge. I'm sure Mr Golovkin will be happy to accommodate them.
After all both of them have arguably beaten Mr Alvarez haven't they :think

STFU all you pale faces wanted a career 147 to move up and fight him though. All of you white excuse making maggots can suck my Mandingo meat stick. It was cool to say Mayweather should fight this Hitler youth disciple, but the thought of him fighting a bigger man put fear in your Nazi heart's.

When asked if he will fight GGG on his next fight (press after the Cotto fight)
Canelo raised his arms and flexed to the audience saying "I am ready"

After the Khan fight when asked about fighting GGG next, Canelo "I can put on the gloves and fight right now." "We Mexicans don't fvck around" "Belts don't mean anything, let's go right now".

He was right, belts mean nothing at canelo's level. He gave away his belt and told ggg to fight for fun at 155. Ggg said no.

Still, gg's next fight is vs a welter. What joke..

Btw, it's not at 160, but at 154, 160 or 168, as other people have pointed out, like gg himself said. Still waiting....

Living in bumland must be awesome!

GGG's best wins are David Lemieux(outboxed by Joachmin Alcine), and Martin Murray(lost to an old Abraham), he can dp whatever he wants, clearly his fans dont give a **** about who he fights.
