Bad fight for G, if he wins this fight and then comes back and dominates MW again it would be a miracle. Moving up and down in weight like that cant be good for you

It's only a single weight category, he could weight in at 161 against Froch, shed a pound and weight at middleweight again. That's not gonna damage anyone

doesn't GGG weigh 170 on fight night? just means that he doesnt have to re-hydrate

Or a little over, which is exactly what the lean Cobra weighs on fight night as he doesn't cut but a few pounds for weigh in.

GGG spars with much bigger guys than Froch. No need to come in at any different weight than normal.

Great fight. Froch is one of my favorites . He'll survive early knockdowns and make it to the final bell.

    GGG UD Froch

No reason whatsoever why this fight cannot happen. But it won't....

    1. There's nobody at 160 that he can fight for remotely close what he can get with Froch.

    2. GGG and Froch weigh roughly the same on fight night.

    3. Froch was never a very good fighter, and has declined.

    4. Being the guy that knocked out Froch at Wembley in front of 80,000 people will make fights with Saunders, Eubank, Groves, and Degale much more interesting if/when they happen.

    5. GGG will go straight back to 160 to fight the winner of Cotto/Alvarez for even more money.

The fight makes sense in every way.

I can sum this thread up.

    1. Andre Ward is slightly over-rated.
    2. Gennady Golovkin is massively over-rated.
    3. Carl Froch is massively under-rated.
