Excellent post....the inexperience of these posters regarding the fight game is appalling, the TS is known for his/her biased anyway so I never really take them to seriously.

One question. What has GG done that warrants America needing a mw to beat him, lmao? Are there wins that GG has that weren't counted on his record???

You're 1/4 right Quillin's a halfway decent, here-today-gone-tomorrow champ, Rosado is a clubfighter with 7 losses, they are not evenly matched, Quillin was winning easily, but no, neither one would be competitive with GGG.

And on the subject of GGG, I like him, he's top 10 for sure, but all this stuff about him being the best middleweight of all time, I laughed till my side hurt last week. I' thinking the guy should at least fight two or three actual middleweights first; am I wrong?

I really don't think much of Quillin as a top fighter. Martinez would knock him out imo. Quillinn just isn't sturdy in there, though he hits hard against b level competition. Rosado was legitimately on the way to beating him there, just on the strength of being a seasoned fighter. Not even a hard puncher or tremendous athlete.

GG got busted up by Rosado a bit. Ain't nobody tryin to hear the flu excuses for GG. Both beat Rosados ass only GG needed padding taken out of the gloves to beat Rosado.

had a flu, had a cold, sprained your ankle running, you wife was ****ing the gardner, your trainer was stealing your money...blah, blah, blah, there are no excuses in boxing, if you are good enough to walk into the ring and collect your check, you are 100% as far as I am concerned, and that's all there is too it.

Looks can be deceiving. Jessie Brinkley said when he hit Quillin he didn't budge and it was like hitting steel. I don't know if Quillin can beat GGG but I do know he trains like a dedicated pro and will bring all that is expected of him into the ring. It's more than a lot of fighters do.

I think this is a great point. Personally a lot of whether I give premature "hype" any credit rests largely on how fighters train and manage themselves between fights, as well as how often they fight.

Case in point as extreme example is JCCjr , who I think has more innate boxing sense and heavier hands than KC or even GGG... but he would get demolished by either of them in the ring cause he halfasses it where KC and GGG treat the sport like a serious profession year round.

  11. What excuses?? GGG destroyed Rosado and dominated every round while Quillin was losing and schooled in one of the earlier rounds, when Rosado played with him like a cat with a mouse. Rosado won that fight with two rounds and they needed the doctor to help Quillin win this fight.
