Ward has been feasting on boxers without the technical finesse Golovkin possessed, Abraham, Kessler, Froch would not be considered technically brilliant. Like many of you said, you can look good fighting opponents that are suited for your style.
Yeam, he didn't receive any type of beating those other fights had, but still, I think Byrd won 2-3 rounds max before the stoppage. Granted, it's been about a decade since I saw this fight. I don't care who fought with an injury and how they did. Their injury has nothing to do with anyone else, or says anything to how serious. Vitali had a torn rotator cuff. Sure, some have fought with that, but the injuries come in varying degrees. How you equate making mince meat out of Vitali in that fight is just your sh*t talk talking
Outboxed? Please! Pouring foward and throwing shots that don't land, and then getting countered isn't out boxing someone. That's the definition of being outboxed yourself.
You must have seen what nobody else saw then besides the judges, Ward looked so helpless that I wonder how many Ward fans looked away in disbelief.
He's just beaten Kovalev who is very good technically. GG hasn't fought anyone who would be classed as technically brilliant. He hasn't fought any top fighters at MW yet. Yet he's been easy to hit. Overall, Andre is technically superior.
Except he didnt beat Kovalev, try again. Potshotting and backpedalling does not constitute a victory.
Wow! You've got to be joking. Andre looked helpless? How? By making him miss and countering him? By getting the last word in the exchanges? By landing body shots? By spinning him and making him lunge foward? He broke Sergey mentally. You really need to go and watch the fight again. It was Sergey who looked lost when he threw 10 shots and only landed 1 of them, before Andre tagged him and then moved back out of range. Sergey went in there thinking he was going to take him out emphatically.
How mature, I guess name calling is allowed by the mods, so I guess I can play along. You look like Danny Devitos dwarf autistic obese cousin.
But pouring foward throwing and missing, does?? You must think that Carl Froch really beat Andre Dirrell.
Wow, you really are lost, I cannot convince you so there is no point in trying. Have fun basking in your boys robbery win.
Everybody misses, this is boxing, you are bound to miss many shots especially if you give many. Carl Froch is a brawler, I do not think he beat Dirrell, but that is another topic which i do not have the time to discuss with you.
I thought Dirrell beat Froch. GGG would get shut down by Ward imo. He's too small and doesn't possess the same skill set as Kovalev. Kovalev>>>>> GGG.
Boxing in it's truest form is an art. It's the sweet science. Hit without getting hit in return. Balance, timing, footwork, distance control, ring generalship etc. Andre is disliked by a lot of fans because of his style. To many, he's boring. Sergey is one of the most exciting fighters in the world. He's the devastating puncher who killed a guy. It's not hard to work out what's happened. Many people have been influenced by the huge punching, exciting fighter, who aggressively poured forward whilst the boring fighter eluded him. Thankfully, the judges got it right. Ultimately, what you had was ineffective aggression being countered by subtle skills. It's just a shame that only a few of us can appreciate it.
So throwing one- twos, backpedalling, getting outlanded, being dropped once, getting shocked by the impact of the punches, being hit by the MOST powershots, being controlled by the opponent and being the LEAST effective boxer in the ring constitutes a victory? Okay then. All hail Ward.
