No he would not. I honestly believe Murray and Geale would beat Lara.

Golovkin would get no credit at all for the win when he would smash Lara easily in 6 rounds. People would just bring up the Molina and Angulo fights.

I honestly think Munroe Jr is no worse than Lara, maybe p4p but you have to remember Lara would be moving up a weight and doesn't have the best chin anyway.

I agree with this. People hang off Chavez Jr's nut for some reason but the forget that Brian Vera clearly beat Chavez Jr in the first fight and was robbed and still made the rematch competative.

Monroe did well to beat him and let's remember that Golovkin is fighting 4 times a year so a fight with Monroe Jr is hardly a waste of time.

I would like to see the other top fighters be more active as well.

Golovkin is great at cutting the ring off, is bigger and fitter as well. Honestly the way Lara seemed to gas against Canelo, who was pretty slow with his foot work, how on Earth to people think Lara would last 12 rounds with Golovkin who is much better at cutting the ring off and applying pressure for 12 rounds.

I honestly could not see Lara lasting 6 rounds.

it's kinda funny that Murray blocks me on twitter but whoever runs Lara's account actually follows me, even though i don't him. and i was much nastier to Lara for running from Canelo than i was to Murray about being ridiculous thinking he could beat Triple G.

I think Geale was a great win for GGG, but his movement is nowhere near as good as Lara's. And as for people who would try to discredit Lara if GGG fought him, I think there will always be people who do that. GGG could fight Ward tomorrow and there would be people saying Ward has ring rust or he sucks because Boone knocked him down.

Look Lara lost to Canelo. Not only that but he was clearly troubled by the power and pressure of Canelo which is timid in comparison to Golovkin. I like Lara he's ok at 154lbs but he's just another top 20 guy at 160lbs in my opinion.

The Angulo that night was a LHW . Bigger I think.

Lara didn't fight Canelo like he did Angulo. He was either paid off or dropped his bal lz.

Said he came in at 174 which is no LHW but still big nonetheless. Lara probably would've rehydrated to at least 170 if they didn't have the stipulation that he couldn't go past 164.

There was some conspiracy to knock him off the ranks but he whooped Angulo anyway.

Makes you wonder if there was something behind his pitiful performance against Canelo

I'm not gonna delve into any conspiracies. Not going to say it was pitiful but obviously left a lot to be desired.
