Let's be realistic, the way Golovkin fights, at age 34, he hasn't really got long left at the top. He's probably already started to slip. All that aggression and overwhelming onslaught stuff is a young man's style, whether it's looking for a quick KO in early rounds or to wear 'em down late with attrition. Even against second-rate opposition, how long do you think he has left?
Not sure I agree. He hits hard, doesn't move too quickly and doesn't have masses of head movement. Could easily have 3 or 4 years left at the top.
he doesn't need a lot of head movement as when he's in full flow the other guy just has to suck it up and take hits, his chin is granite anyway.
Last night showed his reaction to lateral movement is extremely slow. He can be spinned and turned and beaten from angles. There isn't any one out there to pull it off. Eubanks insane athleticism and speed could possibly prove to much if for him a year down the line.
He doesn't have like 5 years, I'll say that. But he still clearly has a couple more years. He's getting old, but he's not old yet.
He already looks passed prime, and Brook was able to outbox him and make him look slow. It wasn't until he imposed his size that he really pulled ahead (I had him winning btw).
Yea I agree. With a style like that its hard to believe he'll be around till 40, but then again he s a throwback fighter. were fighters in the golden ages of boxing not fighting with a similar style and had long careers ? also he did turn pro pretty old
Southpaw Spence in a year or so might be ready to take on Triple G. Triple G is the type of fighter on one nite, everything just begins to slip.
