Its a russian colloquial thing, usually given in response to unwanted advice. Better translation would be "Please direct your advising to your wife instead"

Golovkin responding in kind to some of the stupidity directed towards him.

    Good (boy) for him!

"(If you want to talk rubbish) I'm sure your wife will listen". Is probably a colloquial approximation.

Still not got over Genas 'present to the people of Ireland..' tho:lol:

I liked the response from Trip G. if indeed that is what he said. I would like the source.

Humour aside tho' I can't get how people still go on about GGGs defense. Macklin himself made a point of saying how hard he is to hit. He ducks, shoulder blocks, intercepts with the half-extension, slips inside wider punches, tucks in his head like a damn turtle, hardly ever gets caught clean, yet people go on about his defense.

Watch him fight, I mean really, not the fight itself, just GGGs movement and responses. The whole 'big puncher offense' thing rests upon a foundation of absolutely solid defensive technique.

He can take a hit, and that's part of the fight plan. He establishes early how far he can let it hang out, and adjusts accordingly, balancing offense and defense so as to ensure efficient (yet crowd pleasing) destruction.

Interviewer: "Talk about the body shot..."

Golovkin: "This is my present for him."

I don't know why I can't post the link. But, you can google that - "Стопроцентный Головкин".

He gave that interview to Kazakh media about a week ago.

You can also find a video on youtube - "Gennady Golovkin with Fans".

i dont get the "goes in reckless abandon" and "no defense" claims

he seems completely aware of his defense hence Macklin hardly touched him and was almost never in position to hit him

i dont like compu box but it was probably accurate that Macklin only landed 25% of the little he got off

Im starting to wonder if he's just not intentionally a great trash talker, or if he is just pretending to not understand english well, "He's a good boy!", "This is my present to the Irish Public", "You better teach your wives!". Even if his english is far from on par seems like to funny of a coincidence either way though :lol:.

This is pretty accurate translation by the poster, and I am Kazakh. Btw I suggest you, boxing fans, to read the whole interview with the help of google translate :)
The interview shows a gangsta side of GGG in addition to a smiley goodboy image he happened to create.
