does anyone think golovkins chin could stand up to Stevenson, beterbiew, fonfara or joe smith? the way we know Hopkins obviously can?

Just because Stevens and Lemieux are heavy punchers, doesn't mean the punches they did land flush were bombs. They may have been holding back for fear of getting countered, considering they already tasted Golovkin's power.

Golovkin has a really good chin, but as far as him being down or not, that's more to his balance.

This is a gd point, hes also always coming forward which means he isnt off balance generally

JMM is a great example of a fighter with a great chin but has been down multiple time due to going backwards and being off balanced

 

Sergio Martinez went down a lot due to balance also. He also went down a couple times due to getting hit flush very hard.

 

Have we seen Hopkins take Beterbiev's or Stevensons punches????

I think Golovkin has a good chin, possibly great. How can you not and you've not gone down as an amateur or pro.

I've only seen him even wary of power twice, against Curtis and David and even then what landed (what little did land) he took like a champ.

I can see someone winning a decision against him but not KO (unless he gets hit with something brutal he didn't see or anticipate)

 

You really don't think 2 LHWs (especially a giant like Joe) could last 5 rounds with Golovkin? :huh

Size is relative, no matter the fighter.

 

Smith and Fonfara would look absolutely massive in the ring with GGG. I would bet on both of them going 5, possibly 12 or even....nope....I can't even type the other option 😳
