Golovkins chin

his chin is comparable with Hagler, I'd love to have seen how well he'd have taken Hearns' right hand. About the same as Hagler for me. ATG chin

 

When Golovkin is hit flush. Which isn't that often, he catches the shots with his forehead. No doubt Golovkin has a granite chin but who has been able to land on it with any consistency?

 

Yea he does an excellent job of keeping his chin tucked, even when he opens up and stand & trades.

No way does his chin compare with haglers.

Hagler would not get stunned from Kell brook. He would steamroll him in a round or two.

Hard to judge ggg chin based on lack on real elite names on resume, but would still grade it A since he’s not been down and his defence is his face

 

I agree he has had a great chin his whole career even though I had him winning the fight 115-112 I actually thought his chin didn't look as solid as in the past to me it looked like he was hurt to the head a few times.

 

You'll notice GGG haters are getting confused these days. They attacked him for having poor defence and getting hit all the time. But now they claim he doesn't get hit clean by big punchers to refute his chin praise. So is his defence now excellent? Which one is it? Oh, now we fall back on '**** defence, average chin, but never in with big puncher'.

Well, Stevens, Lemi and Jacobs are all big punchers at middleweight and GGG got clocked by all of them flush a number of times. Stevens and Lemi particularly hit him with flush hooks, their money punch, to no effect. I don't know where the myth that Lemi didn't hit him comes from, but go watch the fight, there's even a slow mo of them exchanging hooks to the head simultaneously. Other decent punchers who clocked GGG with flush RH's to no effect: Macklin, Rosado, Canelo, Armenian guy.

 

It's a good decent mandible.

 

Golovkin was stunned against Kell Brook? Brook hit Golovkin with a shot that lifted him off his feet and Golovkin literally ignored it and kept coming forward. Unless you think the act of being lifted up is the same as being stunned, in which case I don't think you understand the term.

Brook hurt ggg, marked him up and it really irritated him in going in to seek and destroy mode.
