I've just listed 12 world class fighters who could be potential big fights in the MW division.

Hardly what I'd call talentless and pathetic.

There is no shortage of talent, just a shortage of big fights being made.

That's because the division is garbage and not one fighter of note in it that's why they duck him. Guys at 168 won't duck him they will line up to get a piece of him there.

Andrade is a jmw. What has Andrade done at mw to make him a good opponent not to mention who has he ever beat period at any weight. That's exactly the type of guy ggg would target.

I honestly think 168 is very poor, there's only DeGale, Jack and Ramirez imo. I'd like to see those fights btw, but it's not a strong division. I mean, an old and washed up Sturm was a champion until getting stripped recently, and who is de Carolis?

And I honestly think 160 is not as bad as you think. Canelo / Jacobs / Saunders are the fights I want to see, and there is a reasonable second tier in Eubank Jr, Andy Lee, Khurtzside, Derevyanchenko, Quillin, Khytrov, Heiland, Johnson, and maybe Korobov (if he goes back down). I happen to rate Derevyanchenko. I think he may well beat Golovkin in a couple of years' time.

175 is where the action is: Kovalev, Ward, Stevenson, Beterbiev, Gvozdyk, Alvarez etc. is a far superior lineup to 160 or 168.

I don't care who targets him, or who he targets. He's clearly a good boxer and would give anyone a tough fight.

The fact remains the best men aren't facing each other.

Look at our champion, Canelo. He's defended once against a former LWW title holder and then had a LMW fight.

The division is not devoid of talent, it's devoid of big match ups.

Ggg hasn't even acknowledged Lara or Trout who have been as vocal as they are allowed about fighting Ggg. He also just blew the opportunity to put a somewhat name on his resume because of money, apparently he is one of the few top fighters who feels he should not make any concessions. Very odd when you consider everyone else around him do.

So again, at MW, there is nothing exciting. If he wants to wait for the JrMWs to move up, then he is only hurting his legacy by putting a hold on it at such an advanced age. FFS he said he would fight anyone between 154-168, yet doesn't seem eager to do so against the elites.

All the talent is at JrMW, and then some at SMW+. 160 has Ggg who is unproven, and a bunch of other unproven borderline prospects/contenders.

Again at MW there's plenty of exciting fights to be made between any of the 12 men I mentioned.

You keep saying everyone around him makes concessions, yet none of these big names are fighting each other.

Golovkin, Jacobs, Canelo, Lee, Saunders, CEJ, Quillin. All of those are currently MW fighters. I don't class them all as unproven prospects.

Canelo is the champ and he has 6 good choices to defend his belt against. Not to mention any of the LMW who might move up.

There is loads of talent available for big fights.

They just don't wanna fight each other.

Yes, Golovkin has always made it clear that he wants to win all the titles in the middleweight division before moving up. Golovkin would have no problem at 168, but why should he? Stay at 160 like Hagler, Monzon, La Motta, Graziano, etc.
