No no he's not but I would like to see the fight. GGG is very small and not all of his power would carry up and he gets hit a lot. Let's see him in a couple of fights at SMW before we get ahead of ourselves. SMW is going to have tougher fighters who hit harder and can take his power better than MW. Let's see what happens first.
best case scenario cotto/quillin/lee winner or lemieux/ndam winner worse case scenario sergio mora.... and i think that might happen
Maybe the winner of Eubank Jr.-Chudinov could be possible for that date? They're fighting next Saturday so time wise it's feasible. Chudinov is already the WBA interim champion too. I doubt Eubank Jr. would take the fight though if he were to emerge victorious.
No way. That would be suicide. He'll do a Quigg and defend that paper title against as many bums as possible. And everyone saying GGG will fight the winner of Lee/Quillin obviously doesn't know that Billie Joe Saunders has a signed contract to fight the winner. BJS even turned down a fight with N Dam for the vacant IBF to honour that contract so there's no way he's not going to be next in line for the Lee or Quillin's WBO.
I'm not so sure. I dont see HBO approving either of those guys. If Johnson had beat Stevens, sure. But he didnt. HBO isnt about to approve a guy who lost by stoppage to a guy GGG beat, especially after he beat them. And the only people who know who Heiland are in the USA all read this forum.
BJS accepted money to let Lee fight Quillin. If Lee wins and HBO finds money for paying BJS to step aside, he may as well accept it again. Haymon will never allow Quillin to have his a$$ whipped by GGG.
Thing is, Golovkin will fight in May whatever happens, so even if HBO reject it, the fight will still happen- and HBO will know it's about as good as GGG could get at 160 for that date. I think it's more likely to be Johnson who's a hard-nosed pressure fighter. (although at this stage Heliland is a better name) He will probably look to fight again after that in August and November against the Quillin-Lee winner, and the Lemiuex-N'Jikam winner.
