Yeah. They obviously wanted minimum risk for Golovkin, go figure. Maybe they thought fighting Tommy would have GGG remain at 168 for good, something they don't want to happen right now?! Perhaps Hershman has plans for Golovkin to take over Martinez' champ status at 160 after Sergio retires, who knows. By then, Golovkin will actually be able to put sentences together in English.

I'm certainly not gonna get into "they don't want him to go up to 168 because he'd be in the mix to get Andre Ward" business, that's a discussion this forum will have 2-3 yrs from now.

The guys a good fighter with tremendous power, but the ****wits like thawk888 or whatever his name is love to over-hype him because they were awe of him knocking out former 154 fighters in his youtube highlights video. They clearly DKSAB.

Simon went 12 rounds with 160 lbs AA, got KO1 by Golovkin.

Mundine would have a long night with Simon. :yep

Right, because Simon was such a good fighter? :patsch The guy was a journeyman at best seeing as when ever he stepped up, he got whipped.

So going by your ******ed logic, Danny Green is a better boxer than Joe Calzaghe because he TKO'ed RJJ in 1 round whereas JC went 12 rounds with RJJ.

Well done for embarrassing the GGG fan base with your lack of boxing knowledge and lowering the already low average intelligence of GGG fans even further.

I actually like Golovkin. I think he could be in great fights with a lot of the top fighters at 160.

Its just his OUTREAGEOUS overhyping on this site that irks me.

Can we at least wait until he fights a top ranked fighter before we put him in the hall of fame?

Whatever dude. I'm just saying Mundine would have had a long night with Simon and you know it. :smoke

If you wish to get in a technical debate on how Mundine would crumble (or not, maybe?!) under Golovkin's pressure, let me know. I'll be on here tomorrow. :deal

from what i heard HBO nixed it because they didnt think Thomas O was a "worthy" opponent. I mean why wouldnt HBO be trying to put together a sergio martinez fight at some point? rather than have them wait to take over when Martinez is done. It makes no sense in the real world, but in the boxing world its pretty normal and typical

They don't want to feed him an unnecessary loss before he gets fed to Ward

Geale, Rubio, Sturm, Quillin, Macklin were all asked and declined a December/January fight with GGG. Oostuizen balked at the catch weight, and Rodriguez cost twice as much as Rosado. It's a showcase fight, but it builds his brand all the same.

Sanchez said they might be fighting again in March so a light snack like Rosado should hold GGG fans and haters til then.
