Golovkin's punches don't come fast enough for him to knock people around...cheater?

What I noticed is the impact as it hit the target. Very crisp. Also I think his hands is pretty quick, watch how fast Proksa's head snapped back on a 1 2 in his first kd.

 

You can judge a very good puncher by their actions, but you judge an incredible puncher by their opponents' reactions.

Very good punchers, you can see where the power comes from. They wind up, wing, have to be completely planted, have exceptional speed along with it, etc. You see them work for it. You know where the power comes from.

Once you get to a certain level, though, that stops. When you see a guy like Julius Jackson, Foster, GGG, etc. throw, they wouldn't look like they were putting the special effort into their shots to make them knockout punches, let alone punches that put people into the hospital and look like they're about to put them in the morgue. You see guys get one-shotted despite the puncher being in less than ideal form.

You don't realize how special that kind of power is until you see the effects it has on the other guy. Golovkin's that class of puncher.

 

Golovkin is not nearly as slow handed as many claim. They are just grasping at straws to discredit the man. Just like they do with his defense. For exmaple: Golovkin fought last night bout in a phone booth and took a whole 13 power shots in a round and a half. Yet many claim Rubio was landing a lot.
