I'll rate it when he retires, which won't be after Canelo win or lose.

Golovkin is the best, the only way El Pollo can win is by cheating, he will run for 12 rounds, his referee will protect him...............

It would be a big surprise if he would loose. But if he would, It would depend how he lost. If they make this a new Lara- Canelo affair with blind judges, it wont make much difference.

If He was to win, remember to give him the credit he deserves, he got his marquee win and that was what his record lacked. He has been the man at 160 for 5 years now, maybe longer.

Considering Canelo would be one of his best wins. It would say a lot about how we over hype

It would drop drastically. Depending on the loss tho.. If it was controversial then maybe he could still claim some standing.

It depends who he fights afterwards but I don't know if he deserves getting into the Hall of Fame.

    Jacobs
    Lemieux
    Murray
    Stevens
    Brook
    Geale
    Macklin

That's not a Hall of Fame resume.

In any case, just look at Matthysse. Everyone was in love with him and his power. When he lost, a few people were hoping for a comeback or a rematch, but his aura was gone. That 2nd loss pretty much cemented the fact he'd never threaten to be the head of a division ever again.

His best win is a razor close decision against Daniel Jacobs and people are considering him an ATG HOF'er? WoW just WOW.

I believe GGG has the "potential" to be an ATG, But he needs to go on and beat canelo and a fair few more first. even if he looses to canleo he can move up and still reach ATG status, but time is not on his side, he could have started too late.

GTFO if you think his current resume is HOF worthy. FFS people come on.

He'd be considered a great, but no where near HOF or ATG.

But this is all dreams and fantasy, because Canelo is getting drilled to the canvas.

This fight will have a huge impact on the legacy of the winner, If ggg knocks out canleo, He takes a mini quantum leap up the rankings. Same with canelo. But as of right now, neither GGG or Canelo are close to ATG HOF, Neither have had that huge fight this is their chance for their first one.

He can't lose this fight and still be considered an ATG. Thats not how it works.

Is Canelo the biggest challenge of your career?

    Max Max , 100% , absolutely . He is , of course.

Indeed that's not a HoF resume, but three things to consider:

    1. Have you seen the people who have been getting into the HoF? The standards are not what they used to be.
    2. Dominating one division for a while is a HoF-level achievement;
    3. Most people apply a "ducking" correction factor to the resume to compensate for the fact that Sturm, Zbik, Cotto, wanted nothing to do with him, BJS admitted that prime Golovkin would beat him easily, etc.
