According to a site (which I am having problems going back to) Oner is going to try to get Gomez a shot against the winner of Valuev/Changav vs Ruiz:)barf how does Ruiz keep getting these matches?) Do you think Gomez would do better if this match happens?

Gomez is 50/50 or more against anyone not named Klitscko, and probably 30/70 against Wlad.

Wlad would beat Gomez more decisively than did Vitali. He wouldn't fear Gomez's power and would just jab him silly and finish the Cuban with his
big right hand as soon as the opportunity presented itself. I can't believe anyone who has followed Wlad's dominant championship reign could give Gomez any chance at all against little bro.

I can't believe people who are actually fans of boxing still think Wlad is some kind of unbeatable force. The same man who was KTFO by Sanders and decked by Samuel "Slowmotion in realtime" Peter.

then Vitali comes off a 4 year layoff and beats Peter like he doesn't even belong in the top100 of the division. And here you are telling me that Wlad would dominate and knock out JCG faster than Vitali did, when Wlad couldn't even knock out Barney Rubble.

Something tells me Chagaev vs Gomez would be a very entertaining fight.

Gomez would win against most of the other heavyweight fighters...even against Wlad I would give him a tiny chance...if he would fight Vitali again he would get absolutely destroyed.

    Gomez no Chance against Wlad.

Wlad vs. Gomez will be the same like Wlad vs. Byrd.

The difference is that Wlad now knows that Gomez doesn't have power and he knows how he fights, he saw it from close up on Saturday.

I wish I had the Ibragimov fight to watch (I don't watch illegal videos and I didn't have HBO at the time), but I'm told that Sultan fought to not get knocked out, rather than to win. When someone does that, it's pretty hard to get the KO.

Noone said anything about Wlad being an "unbeatable force". He has beaten top ten contenders, co-champions and done so in very dominant fashion K.Oing most of his opponents. Wlad spanked Peter when he was very fit, much thinner and undefeated with tremendous confidence. Vitali destroyed a fat slob who had been exposed by Toney, Jameel and beaten
up by little bro. Wlad is faster than Vitali, hits harder and would have no
fear of Gomez's powershots. Even you should figure out that's a recipe for total domination of Gomez by Wlad.

You didn't need to see the Vitali fight to know that, it was always apparent that Gomez is not the biggest puncher at HW if you followed his career a bit. Besides Gomez and the Klitschko's were in the same boxing stable (Universum) in the 90's/early 2000's and used to spar each other, so both sides knew pretty well what they would bring to the table.

Gomez could be Valuev considering he can hang in there for 12 rounds and not get KO'd, and dominate Valuev to an extent.

I would probably bet a considerable sum of money on the Cuban against Valuev, but I wouldnt bet a single coin on him against Povetkin or Chagaev. Well,Gomez has probably a better chance to beat Chagaev than Povetkin, but I for one cant really see him defeat Chagaev.
    Ruiz? Hell,yes,he can beat him.

Gomez causes trouble to any HW, inlcuding Haye, Povetkin, Arreola and the other champs. Certainly didn't look like the prime CW JCG vs. Vitali, but had some success early, and Vitali had to box very smart and do some grabbing on the inside not to let Gomez land his shots. But Chagaev is also a pretty underrated heavy, so it's a tough one to pick.
