You know, this is why experienced posters know not to make threads predicting the winners of fights that have yet to happen.

Gomez did pretty good. He won a round. Lost the other 8 and got beaten down, but hey, he finished on his feet. Respect for that

Yeah - props to Vitaly though. I would say - despite the fight being pretty ugly to watch - this was among his best performences.

I and a lot of people was saying that for many years..when Peter was coming up and Vitali was champ the first time. I really think that was the general opinion , maybe it got to 50-50 when Peter would have an impressive KO win and everyone would get excited about him. But when everything settled down I think most reasonable people saw this one being firmly in the favour of Klit.

Whilst I never used the words "tailor made"..I couldnt see how Peter was going to beat Vitali given their respective style and physical attributes.

I entertained the idea that the layoff could hurt Vitali and at his age he could well lose. But I came to the conclusion that even if he was 70% of the fighter he used to be he would be toweling Peter in his comeback..In the end he did it easier then I ever thought he would have.

Never a good idea to make a thread like this. Boxing is way too unpredictable and those who don't know that don't know **** about boxing. Threads like this just make you look like a moron afterwards.

Vitali usually takes his time to set things up, but with Kirk Johnson, round two. Herbie Hide round 2 for the WBO title in London. Vitali takes him time which is good. He uses good strategy.
