    He is stepping up to the plate against Cotto who is far more devestating than Jermaine Taylor whom Sergio Mora turned down 1 or 2 million dollars to fight !!!!

    Gomez is probably getting 500-700 k tops for this fight if that much !

    Gomez > Sergio Mora

    Cotto by brutal ko inside of 5 rds

    Gomez is a tough kid who'll fight anybody from 140-154 and a select few from higher weights. I give him credit for his willingness to step it up and I wish him the best of luck. Cotto TKO

    Gomez deserves respect, but Cotto shouldn't have taken such an easy fight. It'll be a repeat of Calzaghe vs Manfredo. Ridiclious to ever think Gomez has a change against a guy like Cotto, who has knocked out fighters twice as good as Gomez who aren't even title contenders. Early KO.

    I give him credit for steping in with cotto, but still for 500 large. i think we all would go in with cotto.

    point of the thread is not to say that gomez has a shot in hell i even said in the 1st post cotto brutal ko within 5

    point of the thread is Gomez deserves more respect to even take the title shot ! His best friend from the contender Mora wouldn't even take on Taylor for 2 million dollars ! Gomez is taking on a superior threat in Cotto compared to Jermaine Taylor for what around 700 k max !!!!!

    Gomez makes Mora look like a little chump !

    Gomez seems like a tuneup. Atleast its an exciting tuneup with a popular guy that will help make Cotto even more popular. Alot better tuneup than some we have had before.
