Gomez deserves our respect ....

I like Gomez...hope he pulls the upset, but I am not betting on it....

 

Yeah, Gomez fought and beat guys that are now fighting at Super Middleweight. This kid has heart.

 

I know a lot a people are saying Cotto by KO, but I have a gut feeling something strange will happen. Maybe it goes the distance and maybe just maybe Gomez pulls an upset.

I've liked Gomez a lot since seeing him on the contender. He seems like a great guy who is making the most of his skills. Facing a beast like Cotto makes me respect him even more.

My heart wants Gomez to win, my brain says Cotto will win, and for the sake of the ww division Cotto must win convincingly.

 

Gomez is a strong, solid contender, much respect for taking this fight against a peak champion who just came off the biggest win of his carrer.

I strongly believe Cotto will win. Gomez has as much heart as any boxer I can remember in recent times. He's tough, he'll fight anybody, he's strong-willed, and he won't back down, but keeps coming forward. I've watched him closely since the Contender.

Even if he loses, he still wins, especially if he goes the distance. He wins respect for stepping up without hesitation and taking on the baddest dude between 140 and 154.

 

I'm really looking forward to the fight. Gomez is fun to watch and could be able to last many rounds.

 

He got a lot of hearth and i have a lot of respect for him.

Unfortunately, i think his hearth, in this fight, will have him take way too much punishment.

 

Cotto appears to be a smart fighter. I dont think he is going to take Gomez as lightly as some of these posts have. Gomez has the ability to make this very interesting. I wont go so far as to pick him but my gut says he is going to have his moments. This looks like a good one!

 

every part of me wants gomez to pull of a huge upset. but my head knows better. imagine if gomez wins tho........would have to be up there with one of the biggest upsets of all time.
