Some people here are smoking crack I sware... I believe the Gomez will give Cotto a competitive fight for the first 3 rounds and that's it... Cotto will take over the fight and it should be an early night.

If Cotto beat Judah in 11 rounds and Quintana in 5 rounds he can beat Gomez in 5. That's my prediction. Quintana it's better than Gomez. Plain and simple!!

Gomez will give Cotto NO trouble. Gomez is in many ways a typical mexican fighter--- good chin, resilient, courageous, good hook, but he FOLDS under pressure.

Watch his fight against Feliciano. Gomez was controlling the bout, got him with some good body shots, and folded, scraping a draw. Cotto is going to annihilate him, within 3 rounds.

    Cotto TKO 5

He'll beat Gomez up very brutally up to that point. Gomez will land some shots here and there, but he won't do anything to make Cotto have second thoughts about coming in.

Hey, you left yourself open for it when you said Gomez gave Manfredo a good fight.

I agree. You look at Gomez and his flabby body and think he will never win but he just knows how to box. He's got heart. I wouldn't be surprised one bit if it's somewhat competitive.

Gomez is a big Welterweight, could become a factor.

It will be a shock of Gomez lasts the distance, he doesnt hit hard enough to trouble Cotto and once Cotto makes sure of that he will simply walk him down.

One of Cottos best strenths is his ability to cut of the ring and if his opponents not good enough or doesnt hit hard enough to give him something to think about then it adds up to an easy night.

    Cotto by 6.

Gomez will make Cotto work. But once Cotto gets in his rythmn i can see him gaining a late stoppage.

This is a good stay busy fight for Cotto

That fight was at 160 though.

Cotto is my favorite fighter, but I think Gomez is going to give him more trouble than people think.

Miguel's class should become evident as the fight goes on, but Gomez is a gutsy, hungry fighter, who shouldn't be taken lightly.

To the person who thinks Cotto isn't taking this fight serious enough, give me a break. Cotto is one of the few fighters who seems to prepare for every fight hard, a consummate professional.
