Speed yes, but Virchis has never been even hurt in a fight, so how is he going to be overwealmed by Gomez's power?

Virchis is an interesting fighter. He is a bit like a worse version of Foreman: gigantic power but slow as hell and lacks skill too. A fight with Gomez is definitely worth seeing.

I hate to see Vichis not get his chance to work his way up and unleash his power on a titleholder, but that's exactly what I think will happen.

Gomez with shut him out aslong as he is 100% prepared and motivated. He has a big edge in speed and technical boxing skills and should be able to outbox Virchis for the majority of the fight.

hope gomez is in shape,he should outbox the big russian.But the guy is big and can pull a Yanqui Diaz at any round if gomez goes careless.

Yep! The Cuban will be on the run throughout his entire bout with Virchis easily collecting one point after another. Gomez has the right style to outbox his slow opponent running circles around him.However,Virchis' murderous firepower will be pose a deathly threat.Gomez must be extremely cautious in all rounds not taking any unnessecary risks and sticking to his game plan.
Virchis can end a fight any time,but he is no match to Gomez in terms of skills and natural talent.
Gomez by relatively wide point decision IMO.
But.............if Gomez runs out of gas in the later rounds he wont go the full route with his huge foe from the Ukraine.Virchis only needs to connect with one of his telling punches to end the fight.
Gomez had better keep his nose to the grindstone sweating in the gym instead of chasing women or partying with his friends and buddies or he will be in for a nasty surprise.
