Personally I'm hoping they have the man that played 'Fat *******' in the Austin Powers movies as Ricky Hatton . turns out the character was played by Mike Myers, who showed his ability to do an English accent with the character of Powers himself........he's perfect so .
I certainly hope the Scots get to be major villains. That cashes in both on the ever-amusing nervousness that we can generate amongst our southerly neighbours, particulary out of the (numerous) gay Englishmen. It also allows us to see yet another suppressed expression of the English sexual inferiority complex, which is perhaps most apparent in the eternal English search for an actor who can do James Bond (the epitome of British manhood) and who isn't Scottish. So basically we'll have the plucky Gomez fighting the scary Scots and overcoming his natural genital inadequacy, using his English stiff-upper lip to overcome the wild and caber-equipped Alex Arthur. It'll be a story of an upset, a triumph, a great villain and one nation's shame at having such tincy wee cocks. :stir [/Jack Prescott]
I thought this thread was a joke :huh I've never heard anyone English 'claim' Gomez anyway other than the Manc's because he's grown up there and most of his fight were there. Did that Mickey Vann film ever come out too? Just seen the trailer for Gomez the Movie and it looks ****ing shite The guy out of Emmerdale
Judging off the trailer, most of the scenes Is where Gomez looks like a drunk pikey. Hard still but maybe too brave for his own good.
only dunky could start a thread with this angle on it.brilliant! anyway i believe julian clarey is playing alex arthur.
This is pathetic. Why the negativity? Gomez has had an eventful life so why not make a movie? Whether it be budget or not, its about domestic fighters got a bit of limelight. Its nothing to do with having a dig at the Scots, its more to do with his trial and tribs outside of the ring. At the same time I can imagine that they will have the Arthur fight in there and so what?? Arthur got taken apart fair and square. End of story.
