That is a great promo! I like Alfonso Gomez a lot, but he only has two chances against Cotto; Slim and None! And by the way, I talked to Slim, and he says he ain't comin' to the fight:bart

Yea same here Boo. I like Gomez but i just dont see this fight going his way. This was a very bad move from Gomez people. I would have sent him in maybe against a Carlos Quintana or even Paul Williams i always though he was overrated and gomez could have beat him. Andre Berto would also be a hell of a match up. Anything but Cotto. This could very well ruin his career.

Bad matchup for Gomez. Too much of a step-up in competition and he will end up tripping.

Good vid. Gomez is a level below the leading welterweights though and i dont expect much from him. In fact I think this will ber very one sided and that Cotto will stop him.

I think Gomez will give Cotto a good workout for about 8-10 rounds when Cotto stops him.

Its a good stay busy fight.

I dont think Cotto is the type of fighter that looks past his opponents so i think he is taking Gomez seriously (which he should)

what gives gomez the biggest advantage is his abilty to fight with men far bigger than himself

he has fought light heavies, super-middlewieghts middlewieghts and has been campainging at light middle.

on fight night he is goign to be just as heavy and robust as cotto as cotto comes in very heavy fight night. some occasions over 160 pounds. i think gomez has a great shot and can counteprunch effectivly. he is taller likes to slug and box has a form of a jab great right hand nice left hook can fight on the back foot or on the front.

i so want him to win i know cotto is next to slice bread, the wheel and floyd mayweather in greatness but i woudl just love this to be a gomez win

I disagree. I think this fight is perfect for Gomez. He doesn't have to win to gain respect in this fight. As long as he puts on a good showing and hangs with Cotto, he's done what he needs to.

I disagree, while your right, a good showing for Gomez would have a positive effect, im afraid that Cotto's A level skills will expose Gomez as a B level fighter and Gomez will be no further enhanced as a result.
