Had Mosley one up by the 12th, though round seven very easily could have gone to Mosley, and I also came close to scoring round six a 10-8 round. So, any score from 105-104 to 106-102 in favor of Mosley is reasonable.
in how boxing ability or physical ability. cuase as a pure boxer he is overrated. is solid but nowhere wher people put him. as far as physical yes he has
Why is the scoring so important to people in this fight ? Mayorga got knocked clean the **** out there no reason to have all these threads about the score when it wasnt even a close fight to begin with.
Because Mosley was teeing off on Mayorga, landing power shot after power shot. Mayorga had no defense, and any offense was sloppy and ineffective. Mayo was a punching bag that round.
Definately, this is essentially the same Mayorga who had a close fight with the shot shot shot shot shot shot shot Vargas just recently. That performance from Mosley puts him right in there with those guys in terms of performance capability at this point.
You have got to be ****ing kidding me, whats wrong with you people ? Mayorga had the fight in the bag until he got caught & I dont even like the guy, he`s an arrogant amatuerish ***** that couldnt fling a straight punch if you held a gun to his mothers head but Mosely was terrible in this fight & NO WAY would have deserved this decision if he hadnt KOd amatuer boy. :-(
I think its because this fight shouldnt have happened in the first place, and with how far past it and used up mayorga is, the fact it was a close fight on most peoples card, with mayorga winning on quite a few of them, including one of the official judges... says a lot. but hey jimmie... props to your boy, im really pissed but it will fade, and although i still want to see mosley follow his heart and fight the best like the warrior he is, margarito or williams i think REALLY put the hurt on him, moreso then i thought before... which i still thought theyd beat him but now to me its clear. If i was mosley id gun for berto or clottey... If he can be the first to take bertos 0 thats good, would give him a good win over a touted prospect.... and clottey is well respected, both would be tough fights but i think both winnable.
WTF is wrong with the way he scored it???? Seems pretty reasonable to me.... Nobody cares how much you hate Mayorga, just because you are bias against him and had him up, doesn't mean everyone else has something wrong with them if they don't think he was winning. To say he had the fight "in the bag" is foolish... much more foolish than the poster you quoted, and doesn't make your ridiculous statement any more true.... At least he posted the way he scored it. What was your score? It was a close fight going into the 12th, to say either of them had the fight in the bag is moronic.:deal
i think people dont give mayorga enough credit... yeah he got iced by dlh but he had a good scrap w/ tito until he got ko.. ssm is much smaller than dlh and tito.. an styles make fights an mayorga was really pumped for this fight! mayorgas awkwardness an heavy hands made for a tough fight but ssm was landing solid blows! all night. i thought it was a tough fight w/ an exciting end. give mayorga his credit for making a tough fight. always after a fight ever ones always screamin washed up blah blah!!! yeah ssm is not what he once was hello hes 37? but doesnt mean just cause he had a tough fight w/ mayorga who was twice hes size at 170lbs doesnt mean he cant challenge marg an cotto again why not styles make fights!!!! .
In the UK, Jim Watt was commentating on the fight and he was saying he didn't think ssm had done enough. i had ssm winning by about 2 rnds but u could possibly see what Jim was talking about. I think we expected to see the ssm that we love and instead we seen a boxer who couldn't quite figure out mayorga's style. even tho he won he didn't do it as convincing as i would've liked or expected.
Mayorga was a lot better in this fight than in that one. He also had a pretty substantial size advantage.
