Gonzaga out of UFC 108 (staph)

I think he is very good, just a tad incomplete mentally.

 

Well you dont act like an idiot over certain fighters I was directing what I said to boxingcar and chimba to name a couple people.

 

Gonzaga has the tools to beat everyone.

 

Yeah he just lacks the brains and the mental toughness.

 

Pretty much it but I think he CAN do it. Kinda similar to Vitor in a way has the tools to beat anyone but when pushes hard its hard to imagine him winning any big fights. Gonzaga has one really good win vs Cro Cop where he blew through him same with Vitor's best wins vs Lindland,Wanderlei,Franklin you know its brutal stoppages early.

 

Theres no denying Gonzaga's abilities. He's a massive heavy with awesome power great striking and a very good ground game. The problem is he's weak mentally. Theres no shame loosing to a guy like Carwin via hail mary. But his loss to Couture surprised me. He simply wilted. There was no fire in his belly at all or an adjustment to Randy's tactics. That makes me think he's a mental midget. That much im sure of.

 

I think he wilted vs Couture the moment he got his nose broke by that slam

 

That and when he landed his head kick flush across Couture's head then Couture backs up shoots, takedown and pounds his face in.
