Rivalary! I was recently watching Humberta chiquita Gonzalez Vs Soman S(i cant remember) but it was the FOTY in 1995. And the commentatorwas saying that tehre was a rivalry between Gonzalez and Barrera with them saying it was due to the fact both saying that the fans were coming to see their fights and not the othe guys'. I was just wondering was there a legit rivalary/animosity between the 2?
It was a rivalry that existed between them outside the ring, and thats where it was going to end. Divisions seperated them, thus no fight could have taken place between both. The world "rivalry" was maybe a bit strong to describe matters.
So is that the tension between them then, just that they both thought the crowd were watching them? Yeah i should have used a better work than 'rivalry'. Was there a documented tension between the 2, a war of words or anything, esp since there was no way they could fight each other? It looks like MAB did not like any of his fellow countryman who were fighting at the same time.
