Man am i pumped up for this fight, they say you cant buy great fights but i think this is the exception its a garuntee'd war and cant end any other way than a brutal KO.

Love Gonzalez but i think his whiskers are'nt as good as De Leons and that will probably be the difference come sept 15

So im taking De Leon by late stoppage in a foty type slugfest

    Who you picking ?

Gonzalez is a better boxer with more than decent punch. They both have been KO ( Nishioka and Lopez ). I'm favoring Gonzalez in a very close fight, won't surprise me if PDL wins this one. They both have improved( ponce isn't that slow anymore ,he didn't look horrible against gamboa and had a very controversial loss to Broner)

Yeah, he is chinny. But he's ahaving a resurgence right now. The guy seems to ba a different monster from the one who was stopped by Nishi at 122.

I'm picking the champion by decision. But both men will be tasting the canvas in a see-saw fight.

Gonzalez via late stoppage in a FOTY contender. I'm pumped for this fight. Gonzalez doesn't get the respect he deserves.

He really doesn't. Jhonny is a tremendous boxer-puncher with P4P power. As far as I can remember, he's never been outboxed. I guess he gets underrated due to his durability, or lack thereof. But he's been on a real tear since hiring Nacho and I think he's a bit more sturdy at 126.

Gonzalez-Ponce De Leon is a really good fight and seems to be lost in the shuffle with the crazy amounts of fight surrounding it. It's a shame, but I think once September 15th comes and goes, it'll be one of the fights people remember most.

I'm leaning towards Jhonny Gonzalez TKOing DeLeon, but his chin is what worries me. Can it withstand DeLeon's punches? I see the fight going the way of Gonzalez vs Izzy Vasquez. Gonzalez will be boxing beautifully and controlling the fight with his length. However, we will have to see if DeLeon can pull an Izzy and catch Gonzalez.

And I agree. This will probably be one of the best fights, if not the best, that night.

Dang this is a hard pick! PDL even in a loss makes you look bad and seems to have more of a boxers mentality. Jhonny tho has everything except the chin. If Gamboa and Broner had a hard time chances are Jhonny will too, but he has carried his power with him something PDL hasn't, but he doesnt depend on it like in the past. PDL has lost some speed and power, but the awkwardness is there. I think Gonzalez SD12 Deleon, but its either ones fight.

I agree Daniel has not carried his power up with him, but he is boxing better now and his D has improved. Also, he never had much speed, but he has always had great timing. This will be the deciding factor for me. This should be a good fight, I expect a lot of back and fourth action. Hopefully Daniel gets the W..

this is 50-50 fight if there ever was one. Now I hear it's winner vs Caballero which is another guaranteed war!! Cannot wait for this one.

Picking Gonzalez to definitely outbox and possible stop Deleon.

Jhonny's chin failing him would not be a surprise though.
