How is everyone's favorite flabby forty-something (in a month he'll turn 47) tattooed-head-to-toe truck-driving Brazilian brawler doing these days? IB's got your hookup. This content is protected This content is protected

This is for the vacant UBO heavyweight International title, and the vacant ABF heavyweight "Americas West" title. Last time they met, in December of 2019, Basile kayoed Domingos in 2 in a first defense of the South American heavyweight title (which he captured over a decade after his first pair of unsuccessful challenges for it, before giving up on it to pursue an ill-fated world championship eliminator with Fres Oquendo that never came to pass).
Round 1 Basile is lumbering forward and pool-cuing some ponderous jabs into the guard to keep Domingos' hands up, then swatting at him with horizontal body slaps. Domingos, several inches shorter and built like a prize holiday turkey, is keeping up a high guard and bowing in to clinch, then messily spraying up shots at the platinum-dyed mullet-hawked coiffure of Basile as his larger and thoroughly illustrated countryman rains clubbing blows down high on the scalp and nape. Domingos is hammered down onto the canvas with a left hook behind his ear after Basile lulled him with a few light jabs into the guard. Domingos' equilibrium is sapped and immediately upon beating the count he is caught with another flush left hook as Basile cleverly feigns a jab and then converts it while Domingos is doing his predictable go-to defensive move of pinching his palms together (and obscuring his own sight, as Basile turned over the left hand). Domingos flops onto the canvas face-first and shields his eyes with his gloves as the ref counts. This dude isn't getting up. He just doesn't want to. He didn't want to about ten seconds after the opening bell, and now he seriously regrets showing up. KO1!
Description of their encounter fourteen months ago: Domingos down twice in the 1st round and quit in the 2nd So how did that warrant a rematch?!
Cara de Porco (that is Domingos' nickname...seriously..."Pig-Face" in Portuguese, and, OMG is that as comically fitting as much as it also is the worst fighting moniker ever) is an embodiment of extremes - the archetypal "glass cannon" - just as "El Patón" is of dead-center ordinariness: Domingos is now 22-13 with all thirteen losses and twenty of his victories by KO, and Basile is 76-14 with a little fewer than half of his wins and over half of his defeats by stoppage.
Domingos is only a nubile 35. Hot damn, he captured the vacant Brazilian light heavyweight title in 2009, in his pro debut. Talk about one low, floor-scraping bar. Idk whether to be more impressed with him or disgusted with the state of boxing in Brazil.
