Good article. Tho it's ironic Floyd became the center of attraction in boxing through "24/7" shows and not through his fights inside the ring.
Agree . I'm having a hard time using the proper word. What could it be? Pathetic, sad, etc. Any help?
Was Mayweather the main attraction when he fought De La Hoya, Hatton, and Gatti? I think that he gets a little too much credit for the ppv buys when he fights legitimate superstars.
Let's look at the facts. DLH - Trinidad plus DLH - Mosley 2 don't even add up to how much DLH - Floyd did. I'm not saying Floyd was all 2.4 but when you pair the two together, it's huge. Without Oscar or without Floyd, that doesn't happen. I mean just look at with Pac-Oscar. Oscar was still just as popular only selling 1.25 Hatton - ... come on now. Hatton was never on PPV before that, and what was his highest PPV in the UK prior? Wasn't it like only a 3rd or 4th of how much the Hatton-Mayweather fight sold? Then the Gatti fight... come on if Gatti was such a PPV draw why was this his first PPV?
