I agree. This article is aimed towards objective posters. If you hate a guy, you'll never give him his due. I'm a big Eagles fan, everyone here shits on McNabb constantly. No matter what he does, it's not good enough. He passed for 450 yards against the Chargers and got blamed for the loss even thougj the defense gave up 31 points. This included 3 points after a 7 minute drive by San Diego with 7 1/2 minutes to go in the game after McNabb got the Eagles within one score.

The same thing happens with Floyd. I just read a post where a guy said that there is no WW glory without beating the true WW champ. This guy of course is a Floyd critic and is advocating him fighting Mosley. However, does everyone forget that Mosley is not the true WW champ? Does everyone forget that Floyd was the last true WW champ? People claim Floyd hasn't beaten any real Welters, yet he's beaten the last two true WW champs before him. It makes no sense.

Floyd doesnt play the villain. He's not clever enough. You can tell by how he gets upset in his interviews when questioned that he's not playing the villain, someone whos playing the villain would see it coming but he is genuinely shocked.

Nope. Floyd is just a genuine immature brat who comes off as a dickhead because he can be...he doesnt play it, he just is.

I love how the handful of Floydettes are licking each other here...Rooney, Nallege, Daryl, Danny_rand, PimpC & Bigreg. You can count them on your fingers. Stick together guys, tough times

Having said that, though Pimp C & Bigreg are undeniably on floyds nutsacks, they are atleast respectable posts. The other guys (not sure of Daryl) are just trolls.

I agree he comes off really immature...a 32 year old with a mind set of a little kid.

"LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME! I'M THE GREATEST! I'M BETTER THAN ALI! I'M BETTER THAN LEONARD!"

    Then turns around and says:

    "I'm not fighting for legacy".

"We're not fighting to prove to boxing fans, who the best is?"

It all may be true but the fact is he isn't taking any risks. If he fights Pac and or Mosely I'll give him credit for that. If he whoops their asses then hes the man, still a cocksucker though:yep

you completely miss the point. All of you rabid Floyd haters completely miss the point. Its not about being an apologist for Floyd, its sipmly about setting the facts straight. I remember someone posting this "boxing fans are the most revisionist fans in all of sports" and its true. Its very true, and revisionist for what? To paint the image you'd like to portray but what does the mincing of the facts do in the end but damage the sport?? Seriously, and its not just Floyd, Floyd is just one of the targets at this particular moment.

    - This writer is assuming that Floyd has a game, that he's playing this "heel" character. He's not, he's just a dickhead. Ali played the part and you could tell he played the part. Floyd is just an immature brat. Tell me, if Floyd was playing the bad guy all along, part of this genius plans, why was he flipping out at Larry Merchant, why was he so mad at the RA interview he started making threats, why was he taking it on a personal level against Brian Kenny? WTF was he crying at the press conference? It's simple, someone playing the bad guy would have expected people to hate them, but when Floyd found out people didnt like him, he was genuinely upset, so upset he cried and threatened to retire!

More BS. Public never loved him. He was being recognised because he fought Oscar, Oscar made him famous...Floyd's accomplishments made him famous. He didnt need to act like a dickhead to become famous. Undefeated, 6time champ, beaten Oscar...he could have had the personality of a rock and he would still have made mainstream.

These people did not try to distort his legacy. Can you not hear RA, he kept saying how Floyd was magic. No distorting, he was giving him credit for the good he's done, and give him problems over what he hasnt done. Its as simple as that. People are not hating, people are frustrated. If Pac fought David Diaz, then ask Vasquez to move up to LW and beat him, then fight and beat an old Casamayor, he would have gotten exactly the same hate.

Because Floyd being a clown didnt class it as a tuneup. Pac said Velasquez was a tuneup, everyone knew David Diaz was a tuneup for his first fight at LW, everyone knew Larios was a tuneup for Morales. Nope. Floyd announced PBF-JMM like its a mega-fight, mis-sold it to the public cheating 1million viewers. When confronted why JMM, why not Shane or Cotto, PBF didnt say he wants a tuneup first, he said JMM draws more money? Well looks like Pac-Cotto sold more so that point is m00t.

And people dont do the same for Pac's win over DLH? Dont try twist facts. 90% of writers and fans knew PBF was going to win, everyone said BEFORE the fight that it was a scam and he shouldnt fight JMM. Its not like they all said PBF will get KTFO and changed their mind afterwards...nope, thats reserved for pac-dlh.

More BS. When RA asked Floyd why Baldomir as oppose to top contender Margarito, who was seen as the bigger threats by the fans, and the fight the fans wanted, Floyd dint bring up those reason mentioned above. He just outright lied and said they offered me 8mil for Margo, 12mil for baldo.

Thats always been the perception of Floyd past LW. The guy retires when there were plenty of challenges around, and when he comes back he fights a LW...he perception of him being a dick is nothing new, its just gotten bigger as he continues down the same road of ducking.

The villain always die in the end, unless its a **** movie
