Like I said earlier you and Arum have been proven wrong... dead wrong. PBF knew he was worth more and went out there and got more. Why are you trying to debate that? It doesn't matter what you think. Fighting Cotto for 7 mil was a bull**** offer and what's so funny about it PBF only wanted 10 mil and that dumbass Arum wouldn't give it to him and he ended up getting double that.
Oscar sells out all the time he fought. Cant say the same for Floyd and that is a fact. How many huge PPV's did Floyd ever have? Two, with Oscar and Hatton. Oscar sold out plenty of times. Floyd didnt become a big PPV draw until he fought them both thats a fact as well.
He still did good numbers atleast 300K in every PPV he's been in.:deal BTW his fight with Zab did more than Cotto's fight with Zab.:hi:
stop being a clown? lol..look who's talking:rofl floyd was also the draw but not that much only before he started racking up those belts.
Thats because people wanted to see Zab and Floyd go at it no matter if Zab lost his titles to Baldi. Cotto and Zab didnt do much cause Zab was coming off two loses and going up against Cotto was sure to be #3. Everyone saw it coming.
He wasnt as big a draw before he beat Oscar though. He needed Oscar to get that big PPV money. BTW, I cant stand Oscar so dont take it as if I'm defending that fishnet wearing *****.
First of all, I do not agree that 7 millions is a "bull**** offer". Then I advise you to read very carefully and without bias the following paragraph of the author's article which should resolve this issue once and for all: Facing opponents like those aforementioned are the ones that define your legacy and most importantly your heart. You seem to be more concerned with maintaining your undefeated record than fighting the absolute best fighters. I know your new nickname is "Money" but if you allow the pursuit of big money fights to take precedence over fighting the best fighters you will never be regarded as the best. I truly believe that you can defeat Margarito, Cotto, Williams and Pacquiao rather easily but seeing is believing. If you fight Pacquiao, face Mosley and the winner of Cotto v. Margarito in my opinion you can then retire knowing you fought the very best. I hope this message finds you in good health and spirits but most importantly that you take heed to it.
to be honest, that has been always the deal with people especially with floyd's detractors. Things are not always enough, once floyd beat someone, a new name starts popping out. And i remember on another thread they just all need this one blueprint, the castillo blueprint:rofl:rofl a joke of a blueprint, considering castillo lose twice:rofl point is you can never satisfy people, just like the issue is with pac's detractors its all the same thing and its all the same with everybody else who are on top
7 Million is a bull**** offer when you are putting up 8 mil for a lesser draw in Marg. How can you offer less for Cotto and Hatton both of whom are bigger draws? Even you have to admit that this is bull****. 7 might have been ok if he didnt offer 8 for Marg. Floyd also wanted to make the DLH fight, which he only asked for 20 million. Arum reason rejected it wasnt because it was too much money. Arum said "I don't want to, because if I did that fight, I would be working for such a small percentage, it's not worth it,". Arum was rejecting the fights because he (Arum) wasnt going to be getting enough money
Please, Both Sugar's kept on fighting the best in the divisions, SRL went up and beat the Best middleweight on the planet in Hagler. Robinson went up and fought the very best each time he went up. Floyd did it at one point but as he moved up he lost site of the comp and went after the money. Not that I blame Floyd for getting that dollar, but he could have fought at least one of the top welters to shut a few people up.
he fought DLH which was more than a welter and which was the man at 154 at that time and it didn't shut people up. fought hatton who was undefeated and in his prime and was the best at 140 and also was a belt holder at 147. STILL didn't shut people up
I'm glad you admitted this.:good PBF-Zab was one of the most talked about fights in boxing here before Zab lost to Baldo. A lot of people here thought Zab would beat PBF.
I used to think that Yero Moody was a completely biased PBF nuthugger with limited knowledge of the sport itself. I thought he was a guy that enjoyed the soap opera surrounding particular fighters rather than actual fights. This single article completely changed my opinion on this guy who I believe to be known for short as GTU. He knows who I'm talking about. I now respect this guy for his opinion and will begin to take the things he says much more seriously. You on the other hand are completely blind when it comes to Mayweather. Mayweather hasn't been in that position mainly because of his acceptional tallent, but also because he recently hasn't risked putting himself in that kind of position. Every dog has his day. If Mayweather continues to fight, his day will come too. That's just a fact of life.
What you and that dumbass author fail to realize is one PBF isn't a natural WW and two he was already an ATG before he even fought at 147.:deal Winning the linear championship at 147 and winning a title at 154 only enhanced his already great legacy.
