4 bills planned ,including a stadium fight for a unification .That would be good but warren has to pick wisely as if he picks either old firm team,ad they would be too big for this, burns sells well but it would still be too big,he will alineiate the other side ,but i dont like the look of hampden as its basically pish.

A smaller stadium like hibs or hearts to me would be better atmosphere, but i cant see him bringing that fight card east

Think Burns is a celtic fan so i doubt he would fight at Ibrox. cant see him selling out ibrox/celtic park/hampden/tynecastle or easter road they are far too big and outside of forums he is still unknown. He would be better off at the SECC or edinburgh corn exchange.

Maybe he could come to my home town....elgin city would love a unification bout!!!

Nothing against Ricky Burns but I think most of this will all be talk. At the moment, Frank Warren has a Scottish 'world' champion who can sell pretty well at home. He's holding a belt that won't have any really tough mandatories for at least a few years and the rest of the super featherweight division isn't that strong either. I don't know if he'll be able to get big enough to sell out a big football ground.

I think he'll hold Ricky back as long as he can until Burns gets restless and wants to be more ambitious. Even though I'll criticise supposed world title defences against the likes of Andreas Evensen and Joseph Laryea, they might not be a bad thing in the long run. Burns is definitely improving fight by fight and in a years time he would have more than a good chance of beating someone like the current No 1 Mzonke Fana. It certainly won't harm Burns' bank account in the short term anyway.

This fight signed with Laryea shows Warrens intentions for now at least.

    What's with the 'world' champion.

Martinez not a legitimate title holder when Burns beat him?

Nah it's nothing against Ricky I'm no fan of the alphabelts and there isn't really a world champion at SFW anyway. The Martinez win was good, but he was hardly a genuine world champion (in my opinion at least). I think the route goes something like Burns beat Martinez who beat Nicky Cook who beat Alex Arthur who beat no-one and got handed a title. Even the British title has a better route than that at times!

But it's nothing against Ricky Burns and he's done well recently.

Yes. I would back Foster Jr to either get a late stoppage or points victory.

even Mag7 type bill wouldn't sell out Ibrox or Parkhead.

If it had to be a football stadium I would prefer it to be Tynecastle. That is our old style stadium with the stands right on top of the pitch and right into the action.

Football capacity is around 17,000, so you could get over 20,000 when you include the pitch.

Only problem is the dressing rooms are too small. After that you have the Meadowbank Arena or the SECC.

Do you get a raffle ticket/s for a shot at the title included in those prices?

they would be better trying to use the airdrie united ground. it is only a few miles from coatbridge and has a 10,000 capacity. even this would be a hard amount to sell. imo

this fight needs to get made, Burns has stated he wants this fight. He can unify the division before moving up in weight.
