Who woud win this 'Good Boy' tournament Daniel Geale v Osumanu Adama Matthew Macklin v Curtis Stevens ====== Martin Murray v Grzegorz Proska Marco Antonio Rubio v Gabriel Rosado
I think it's a very good idea but can I ask a question? The "good boy" was born post rosado so should fights pre rosado be considered "good boys".?
Murray is most durable, but far from the most skilled Geale would have a decent chance at out boxing Murray as would Rubio who could possibly stop Martin.
Rubio hits very hard, and despite maybe having the lesser of the chins, (and even that's debatable, I think he took a dive against GGG, because he wanted to) between the two, he's got the bigger punch, Murray doesn't have near the power of Rubio, and he's actually underrated as far as his boxing ability goes. Check out my Murray and Rubio threads for evidence they fought a common opponent both just last year Murray stopped Spada on cuts and looked sloppy Rubio pretty much KHTFO.
I agree what happened in Golovkin-Rubio is not a true reflection on Rubio, but in this particular tournament I think Rosado out points him.
Not even gonna throw me any credit for the idea? (I owed you one for throwing me under the bus digging up old posts to prove who jumped on the Inoue bandwagon earlier, during your BOMB SQUAD altercation :tong)
Ummm... didn't Geale already beat Adama? He'd do it again. Murray beats Proksa. I'd favour MAR over Gabe but it'd be a pretty good fight. Macklin vs Stevens is a tough call - Macklin seems to be on the slide and Stevens has reached his ceiling... could go either way. Geale or Murray would win the tourney, though I'd perhaps lean slightly in favour of Geale - I don't think he could hurt Murray but could probably use his movement to potshot his way to a UD.
