    Giampa retires!
Chuck Giampa has retired as a boxing judge to pursue a career as a boxing consultant and sports columnist. Giampa had been a boxing judge since 1984 and judged many memorable championship fights including the Holyfield-Tyson II "Bite Fight" and the Holyfield-Bowe "Fan Man" fight. He has judged over 120 world championship fights in addition to many regional and international title fights in Italy, England, Wales, France, Germany, Panama, Argentina, Korea and Japan. Recently he judged the Calzaghe-Hopkins fight 116-111

He deserves to retire. he must have looked at the tape and said damn, I really have lost it and decided to hang it up. Looks like he was a fight too late.

He must have known his time was up when he had the same scorecard as Harold Lederman.
