Agree but some boxers have natural inclinations to pick things up better and faster than others. He was gifted the perfct set of tools for that style and trainer. A lot of boxers can learn a lot from him, but few if any will be able to effectively use that style.
I try to figure out if a boxer is a vicarious learner who can pick it up by watching, or a doer, who is better reinforced by repetitions. Videos can be so useful!
I like showing this video to beginners. Virgil Hill lost this one but it's not because of lack of skill. His punches are crisp, hands from the face, range is on point, has rhythm too, BUT he didn't take outside position against the southpaw. A great example of amateur boxing SKILLS in excellence.
