Anthony Joshua vs Deontay Wilder no later than 2019. Why? Because AJ is waiting for DW to slow down a little, to get just slightly over the hill, a little slower and a little less able to fight 3 minutes of each round, justa little less sharp than he currently is. AJ will fight DW but only when he and Hearns feels its the "right time".
Joe Smith Jr. is a KO artist and a tough SOB. He would murder Johnson. He had Barrera backing up and he was the one fighting with a broken jaw.
I'm a huge fanboy of both of these guys. I HATE this match. But in no way would it not be brutally beautiful and a hell of a match.
Good call... and this is a classic example of why sometimes a promoter doesn't have to protect a fighter. Johnson's stock rose from taking on a beast and making his mark in defeat, even a stoppage loss. There's no way this fight would have crossed anyone's mind as a legit potential match-up if Johnson had not taken a risk in fighting Beterbiev.
Hearns tried that all British one already, straight after Yarde and Warren said he would fight anybody, they didnt want to know.
Negative, scumbag. Never a particular fan of Hopkins and found the conclusion of his swansong hilarious. Johnson/Smith Jr would be a hard fight for you to have a rooting interest, no? Do you just go with whoever looks paler at the weigh in or what?
