We all know Helenius. The 6'6 1/2 in Finnish fighter has a solid if unspectacular amatuer background, works behind the jab, has shown power, especially to the body, and, so far, a solid chin. Some criticisms agaisnt him are that he is a bit of a plodder, needs to find a hook, could stand a little more conditioning (though he is by no means a fat ****), and, his biggest drawback, he has already injured his power right hand twice. In any event, in 12 fights, he already has notable wins over Gammer, Bidenko, Brewster and Olukun.

Enter Gregory Tony. Don't know a lot about his guy, but he appears to be live body, with 10 KOs in 12 wins against no defeats. The Frenchemen has defeated at least one other undefeated prospect in Carlos Takam, and although that honestly does not tell me much personally about his ability, at least it shows he is not afraid to take showdown fights. The most intruiging thing about Tony is that he appears to have a small following on the Euro forum stemming from his days as a tough kickboxer, and a few are picking him to win, so he is at least a live dog.

Well, a lot of guys on here cry about how the heavies suck and there are no prospects- come this Saturday two of them are going at it with the winner sure to move up as a legit contender. I for one am excited. Comments?

I was just thinking about this match-up. From what I have seen of Tony, he seems to like to brawl. But, he gets hit a lot, and that will not help him with Helenius. Intriguing match-up, but, Helenius, obviously has been tested more.

Helenius will outbox Tony easily and catch him in mid rounds.

    Helenius KO 6.

It will be easy night for Helenius

    Helenius is no bum.

He will at least win European Championship in his career, he could even have potential to be first Finnish heavyweight championship challenger/holder.

Yes indeed, he is really a rare case of a guy with that kind of resume after only 12 fights, he's only 26 and taken that the Klitschko's retire after a few more years (and Haye 1,7 years to go :deal), he does have chance to become HW champion
