The winner of chagaev ibragamov will be the champ anyway so Wlad may become a contender if he beats Brewster, dont forget the winner of that fight will hold the lineal win over wlad, beating brewster doesnt get that back.
Brewster was beaten by sergei who lost to briggs who lost to ibragamov, brewster is damaged goods and wlad needs to prove he is better than them like they did lineally to brewster and wlad!

 

Brewster being the mandatory for Wladimir is certianly a good thing, cause as you said, after he fights Brewster, he will then be able to fight someone else wtih some clout, like maybe Maskaev, or the Ibragimov Chagaev winner.

But its odd that they'd proclaim Brewster, after having just lost his last fight, as the mandatory. But stranger things than that have happened with the rankings.

Brewster is no long a King-man, no. That's one reason why him being named mandatory, after having lost his title, is strange.

Brewster, Byrd, and Rahman have all parted ways with that Don King, from what I recall.

 

Who wouldn't like to see Byrd-Klitschko 3 or Brock-Klitschko 2?

 

if this is the case I dont expect him to unify so quickly especially when Peter will be the man holding the WBC title, I fully expect Wlad to give Holyfield a shot for a huge pay day.

 

It isn't strange when you consider that the organization may have felt sympathy for Brewster being out of action due to having the retina tear.

And as weak as the division seemingly is, with the best options already tied up/recently fought, you can see how they came to this conclusion.


Rahman however would be an awful fight, I don't wanna see it.

Yeah, I heard there was talk of Byrd or Brock fighting Wladimir again. I hope that doesn't happen. That's what is causing Professional boxing to go down the drain. A Wladimir Klitschko vs. Samuel Peter rematch would be much better

 

Ridiculous. Austin was his mandatory, which was the only reason he got a title shot. He should already not have to fight a mandatory for a year...

 

While Klitscho vs Brock or Byrd again would be a waste of time, here are a couple of points worth thinking about:
1-Admittedly, Byrd vs Brock for a chance to rematch Klitschko is ridiculous, but as a fight itself, Byrd vs Brock, is an intriguing match-up. (Then again, Byrd's most entertaining fights are against guys who press him. Brock is somewhat defensive-minded himself, so it could be a stinker.)
2-We're all talking about this as if Wlad has already beaten Brewster. He hasn't, and speaking as a Klitschko fan, there's a chance Lamon could pull off another victory. I hope not, but it could happen. If it does, Brewster vs Brock/Byrd would not be a bad little fight.
