I think Beterbievs going to be too old by then for that fight to matter but that really wasn't Benavidezs fault. Benavidez is planning to return to LHW to fight both.

I had previously been pretty bummed that Benavidez was going to Cruiser forever and left a 175 legacy on the table. He might just be going to Cruiser for a cameo.

Going up for another one off could be an option.

If Benavidez beats Ramirez then goes back to LHW this means Jai now has a path to CW undisputed without fighting Benavidez or Zurdo. When you combine that with Benavidez v Bivol/Beterbiev and any possible rematches it could be a very long time before the stars align for these two to fight.

Hopefully Bivol finally finds the balls to fight him. I doubt it.

I don’t like when guys go up then down, David is a big guy, going from 200 to 175 will take a big toll on his body. Hopefully I’m wrong

Going up and down in weight is not the best idea. It's smarter to stay at 175 and fight those 2, then move up to cruiserweight.

I get David wants to dare to be great, he’s been ducked his whole career but rushing this could destroy him.

I don't buy it, Benavidez goes up and beats Zurdo, I think he never goes back to light heavy
