2014-11-29 Crawford makes the last defence of his WBO lightweight title

2015-04-18 in his very next fight he contests the vacant WBO Light-welterweight against Thomas Dulorme after being made the mandatory challenger for it as soon as he announced he was moving up in weight

2017-08-19 Crawford makes the last defence of his Light-welterweight titles against Indongo in their four belt unification match up

2018-06-09 in his very next fight Crawford takes on Jeff Horn for his WBO Welterweight title after being installed as the mandatory challenger for it as soon as he announced he was moving up in weight

Not a single person had an issue with him being afforded the opportunity to do this as, per the WBO's own rules, even though he's invoked it twice but when Usyk tries to invoke it once after not only unifying all four titles down at CW but, and in complete contrast to have gloves only travelled once Crawford, literally winning, defending and unifying his belts in his opponent's backyards, with the sole exception of one title defence which was on neutral turf, suddenly it's a big issue.

    Great points, Serge.

The WBO has actually been quite patient in enforcing this. It is one of their major rules.

I'd rather AJ fight Fury, and Usyk fight a good, tall-ish heavyweight before AJ -- someone a bit closer to AJ's size.

This is marketing. Usyk did not had fought in WBSS in fights with local ref and judges from these countries where events happened.
    He wasn't away corner guy.

From this another part : yeah, I think this WBO already had waited too long and might gave him this shot. If bodybuilder doesn't wish to fight with him, should vacate belt.

I hope Usyk gets his shot, I hope he insists he gets it, I hope he forces his shot because the lack of respect shown to him is outrageous.

People have basically spoken over him, talked past him, basically said he is a unwanted problem that will ruin a huge unification fight and should "do the right thing for boixng" step aside.

People have Tried to dismiss him as too small, too powderpuff and all the rest to justify him not getting his shot and it's disgraceful.

Hearn screamed loud enough and for a long time about Whyte not getting his shot, Hearn said Whyte should have got his shot as soon as he was made mandatory.. so the same atttiude should apply.

He would rather fight Fury since he can make more money. If Usyk beats him the Fury fight will be ruined

This was all planed anyway i guess. Aj will put down the WBO belt and nobody will say he ducked usyk because they make the fight everyone wants to see vs fury. They secure the cash out fight first then usyk vs joyce winner fights fury or aj

How could they have granted AJ a voluntary for the second Ruiz fight when he wasn't the champion at the time of the second Ruiz fight. Also, they could say they granted AJ a voluntary for the IBF mandatory which was Pulev but don't these organisations have any understanding of what happens outside their own boundaries. Also, everything that happened after the first Ruiz fight resets the counter. You cannot claim that Joshua should have fought Usyk after the first Ruiz fight because Joshu wasn't the champion, Ruiz was.

If the WBO are pressing for Usyk to fight for their title then I say Joshua should drop the belt but the winner of Joshua/Fury should not fight the winner of Usyk/Whoever and see how these guys deal with not getting the Joshua/Fury payday.

This kind of cr*p is precisely what has boxing in the position it is today.

Joshua was supposed to fight Usyk after his voluntary, Ruiz.
The WBO then allowed for a rematch. So, yes, technically they gave Ruiz a pass.
Then the WBO again stepped aside for the IBF and Pulev.
Now they are saying enough as Usyk has been the mandatory for nearly 2 years.

I'll say it again. If Usyk's opponents knew how to properly cut off the ring, his running would be mitigated greatly. Everybody and their momma knows Usyk is a mover. Yet, his opponents don't train or learn to cut the ring off. Usyk is simply not fighting to his opponents strengths. It may not be pretty, but it's effective. I will back the little guy everytime. GO USYK!!!

He won Panda just on points. Panda had finished him in first fight. He might prove that he is better than Panda if he will won thrid fight vs Panda.;)

Last fight A.J had proved that he is better than 39 y.o uncle for this IBF belt. No wonders, uncle was total underdog.
