This could still be a problem if true, First off, Berto's name has already been smeared. You're not going to be able to undo that. Second, was VADA the ones who determined that the trace amounts were so minute that thety were consistent with contamination instead of intent? If they were, where all the parties informed? There are so many questions that can stem from this. Unless they can get the fight back on, all parties in this scenario still lose.
This shouldn't have come out so early. Berto got slandered and his name has been dragged through the mud, true enough. Idiots on ESB especially will continue to belief he tested positive and if he beats Ortiz, they'll continue giving him flak. Maybe VADA has more potential for false positives, hopefully this doesn't happen to a lot of other boxers.
False positives are supposedly known.. So why would they release this **** in the first place before making a final call.. Any way the fight still happens?
If this is true and VADA backs up this story, then the fight should be on. Berto should be issued a public apology and offered a settlement for his trouble. I smell a rat though as this is likely coming from the Berto camp and is not yet been confirmed by VADA or another nuetral lab.:think
damn, they already ****ed up his rep. he might be called a roider for a while and wont even get credit if he beats ortiz. shouldnt VADA have figured this **** out sooner before they put him on blast?
Trust me if Vada wasn't 100% sure they would have never outed him, Ortiz has another opponent set up so these stories are just spin as far as I'm concerned
