May 1st, Marquez is definitly in, most likely aganst Ricky Hatton at 140...good news is that it will likely be HBO not hbo-pay per view.

My source says Macau either June or July

It will be Ricky's last fight........ that's from Ricky's mouth about 8 days ago when he was in Oz.

You could be right, but Hbo is said to have marquez in for may 1, and hatton is in somE "back door" unoffical negotions for the fight.

I told everybody after Marquez got "BEDAZZLED" by a fighter with serious speed, quickness and hard to hit....he would never step back into the ring again with a fighter like Floyd.

    The top fighters at 140lbs:
    Timothy Bradley
    Devon Alexander

Yet Marquez wants to fight a fighter with NO defense and easy to hit.

    I knew this would happen.

I'd rather see Marquez in there with someone like Bradley ,or Malignaggi, etc.... I'm tired of seeing Hatton's ugly style exposed.

call me crazy, but I got a feeling 'ol Rick will be ready for this one, and I think he will be able to bully Marquez. How many times has Ricky ever lost to a smaller fighter?

I'm willing to cut JMM a little slack. The guy has fought the best of his generation. Hatton is still a naturally heavier guy than him, who could conceivably overpower him and beat him up inside. Why would it be ok for PBF to take an "easy fight"(which I don't think this is), but not the guy who he beat in that easy fight? Just asking.

Marquez iz really a blown up FW. I would like 2 c him with Hatton. I think his heart nd skill will show, but Hatton's size, speed nd style can give Ricky da edge against the smaller Juan.

JMM is getting up there in age and a good paycheck makes sense at this stage of his career.

Juan Manuel Marquez is a future Hall of Famer and has fought some of the best fighters of his generation. If a fight with Bradley or Alexander was as sigificant financially as a fight with Hatton , I assure you he'd have no problem fighting either of them.

This fight should have happened along time ago. Now it has about as much significance to boxing as shannon briggs does.

Hatton by KO for me. This is just a pay day for both fighters though.
