Good News on the PPV Front: Marquez/Diaz

That's just the thing, it's bull**** from GBP. Here's why, say you list your million dollar home for sale and you get this loud as buyer offering you 200k. A logical person can see that that offer was a joke. It's not even within negotiating range, it's that far off. Comparing Clottey to Diaz numbers, thats like 6:1 difference thus making 50/50 ludicrous to even attempt imo.

 

SO by your basis PBF is right on asking for 60-40.
He has outsold him against every common opponent and also in their last fight outsold him by about 300-400k.

 

That's good for an off-season PPV I guess. I very much hope the numbers will grow, because it will justify the excellent undercard. All together it was an excellent show, and if we'll get 4 solid TV fights in the future, it will restore the PPV system legitimity somewhat.

I think it's ******ed, personally. I don't want to shell out $60 for decent fights. If it made money then just expect to see a lot more fights just like that one that will cost $60. PPV is general is bull****. Imagine having to pay for every superbowl, NBA finals, etc..... it's a sport for crying out loud.

Please dude ever since the second fight when Pac was surprised he got the decision he has not wanted anything to do with JMM.
GBP offered him 7 mil for the 3rd fight and he turned it down to fight Diaz for 2.5 i believe.

They just know JMM has his number and he is not worth the risk. Thats why PBF will have to beat his ass for JMM.

 

PBF has had better numbers, anyone who says otherwise is blind to the math. With that said, it is Pac who holds all the records, the FOTD and FTY awards, and all the hype. Thus he brings something to the table that Floyd can't get from ANYONE ELSE. That evens the scales imo. I don't think Floyd deserves 60/40 but I can see 55/45.

The kind of money in this fight cannot be made anywhere else in boxing. It's not like Floyd's gonna fight Bradley and make 2.5m buys nor for Pac for that matter. They need each other, which is why something at or close to 50/50 makes sense.

 

It was at least 45 minute drive for me, actually. I was going to do it too but those theatres sell out quick.
