Yeah, how the hell did hbo come to the conclusion that it was a good idea to carry that ppv after all (meaning Mosley-Mora)?

 

I myself don't know enough to gauge the #'s of a ppv sales success , but I believe it was worth the risk buying this ppv as the undercard was the seller to me. Like many, at first glance of the main event I had no interest in paying for this rematch. But if they start producing quality undercards it seems as much or more intriguing to me to watch 4 to 5 quality fights than a mega fight without. I know that a few of the fights including the main event were less pleasing than anticipated, but at least the promoters seem to have made an attempt for quality matchups and I appreciate that.

I figured one Mexican and one Mexican American in the FOTY last time would sell atleast 400K for the rematch. These numbers are bad news for boxing if true. Damn shame a good fight like this can't do anymore than 150K in buys.:-(

This card was a bit of an odd experience. On paper it looked much better than it actually was. In all honesty I've seen Latin Fury cards that produced more fireworks. Oh well, ya roll the dice, put your money down, and take your chances.

 

That's crazy. Take away Money and Manny, and there aren't many sure bet 400k guys. Cotto can do it with Margarito and Chavez. But it's very few guys with that much pull.

 

Yes, that is good. In realistic terms. Not every PPV needs to generate 600K buys to be seen as good.
