Bookmakers aren't in the habit of giving the punters good odds and if they do give out good odds they will shorten the ****ers right up come fight night. And unlike peoples opinions on the net, book makers live on their opinions and if their opinion is slightly wrong it might just them alot of money. So IMO when it comes to possible outcomes in sports events - in this case boxing - I would take the colletive bookers opinion on the out comes, rather than the colletive opinion of boxing fans who talk about boxing on internet forums ... what does this have to do with the De La Hoya v Pacquaio fight?

De la Hoya is pegged as minus 185 favorite to frustrate Pacquiao, while the fire-breathing Filipino fighter is at plus 155 to defeat the Golden Boy of boxing. Meaning, a $185 exposure on De la Hoya would net only $100 and a $100 bet on Pacquiao rakes in $155 if the Pacman wins the fight ... For example a $ 250 on Hatton to beat Malinagnaggi would have netted $ 100.

And as for the size difference it's exggerated, just look at these 2 pictures.

Yes De La Hoya is bigger but isn't it fair to say over exggerated?

Also it's fact that compared to previous fights it isn't as one sided as many think.
