#1 which king henry obviously there has been a fair few

2# Just because there is a lot of violence in the quran does not mean i think all muslims are violent or bad people just seems to be a lot more violence between muslims than sikh's, hindu's or christians

Thats exactly the point, there ain't too many Christian suicide bombers or gangs of Christians executing teenage girls on the basis of hearsay. Christianity has been a **** in the past too, no doubt about that but currently its nothing like the monster Islam is.

I'm a stone cold athiest and believe the lot of them are bull**** artists but I'm also a libertarian and believe people should be absolutely free to practice what they want - including Islam - as long as it does not trespass upon other people. But, people should also be perfectly entitled to give their opinion as well and my opinion is the Koran is an inciteful piece of **** scripture and its little wonder there are so many backwards ass interpretations.

Agree, biggest nutters in the world seemed to be religious people, look at the amount wars there have been throughout history due to religion.

One could argue that more people have been killed in the name of secularism then anything else.

But hey, i'm staying out of this. :good

taking quran quotes out of context and using it against muslims isnt very clever i suggest you read the rest of the surah and try to understand the quote in context. I could do same and claim the exact opposite:

"There shall be no compulsion in religion: the right way is now distinct from the wrong way. Anyone who denounces the devil and believes in GOD has grasped the strongest bond; one that never breaks. GOD is Hearer, Omniscient.". [2:256]

Hold to forgiveness, command what is right; but turn away from the ignorant." [7:199]

"Have patience with what they say, and leaves them with noble (dignity)." [73:10]

Whoever kills another one without justifiable cause, surely he is killing all of humanity. And whoever saves the life of another one, surely he saves the lives of all of humanity. [Sura Al Ma'aidah: Ayah 32]

    sounds good to me...

Western Christianity was dragged kicking and screaming through the Enlightenment and Scientific Revolution. And is now a diluted form forced to live in a modern pluralist secular democracy.

Islam has yet to go through any sort of reformation, which is why it still resembles a barbarically medieval pastoral ideology, an Arabized rehashing of the Jewish Mosaic laws, which Christianity has now dispensed with, and hopefully Islam will too, but I doubt it.

You know that the Quran isn't chronological right? It is all a messed up order. These verses were revealed when the muslims weren't powerful. After they became powerful, Allah conveniently decided to order the muslims to fight and get rid of the disbelievers (more like Muhammad the fraud made the verses up to get powerful). And you pointing out these very few verses doesn't do anything. What about the verses posted earlier? They contradict these verses, so which one is it? The quran can produce terrorists that get their inspiration from the verses posted earlier, and then it can produce a bunch of apologists like you who point to these verses. All the evidence suggests that Islam produces the most violent people in the world--people who get their mandate for killing from Islam.

Religion is bull****. Christianity, Jeudaism, Islam, etc, are all a bunch of fairy tales for fools.

One question Mr libertarian. Have you read it and understood the context that it was revealed in? If not then go and read it. You cant 'be entitled to give your opinion' on something you havent even bothered to read. Sounds to me that ur another uneducated fool who takes elements of extremism and uses it to bash a whole religion.

And btw - if you're interested in modern Christian massacres go and check out what Christians did in the refugee camps of Sabra and Shetilla and the Christian RAFs bombing of Dresden and the Christian US war in Vietnam and the Christian atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.. All those operations were carried out 'In the name of God'.
Oh one more for you - ever hear of a little place called Rwanda? Massive genocide of Christians BY Christians ---> The Rwandan government reported on November 1, 2006, that 56.5% of the Rwanda's population is Roman Catholic, 26% is Protestant, 11.1% is Seventh-day Adventist, 4.6% is Muslim, 1.7% claims no religious affiliation, and 0.1% practices traditional indigenous beliefs

I think i made my point - Christians have killed wayyyyyyy more people in the last 100 years then any tiny faction of extremist Muslims.

Now tell me which religion is a monster.

All your post has done is show me why people like you are a waste of space because u have no intelligence and instead of making a point with dignity you have to insult peoples holy books and religious beliefs.
You my friend, are a loser.

I was interested in the career of Anthony Small at the start given as he was a fellow Siuth Londoner, I grew disillusioned with him as his career progressed as his style began to get more and more awful to watch, then the brashness and talk started to grate and the whole business of the last few months turned me off him completely.

To be honest retiring was his only option as no promoter was gonna touch him with a bargepole
